Franky 754
« on: December 02, 2021, 04:53:46 PM »
Just wondering that Frank 754 hasn't been posting and then I read casually on a thread somewhere that he's had a gutser off a push bike and is stuffed. With the number of his postings the SOHC forum would be a big part of his life so I checked the memorial page and nothing there so what's the go Frank ? anyone ?
cheers Johno

Hey Johno, do you remember the Weber carbs you sold to Jerry? There are links to videos of Frank, Jerry and I fitting and starting Jerry's big bore bike with them in the thread Jerry linked.

F*#k, sorry boys, that slid under my radar. Life can be like that, you blink and it's gone. When your young you don't give a #$%* but when you get older every day becomes precious.  Sad as Frank should have had a few more years dicking around on the forum helping newbies and others and cheering us all up with those weird eyes.
Well Im not quite sure how the universe works but I hope we all end up in the same place so we can catch up and chew the fat about SOHC for ever.
Ciao Franky ! hopefully we meet again.

Dang, very sad news. I don't know how I missed the original thread.
I'm sure Frank would rather have exited this world because of a two wheeled mis-hap than to be taken out by some virus.
Godspeed Frank!

Very ironic to end the life on a bicycle when you are a biker, a biker for decades.

I know several similar incidents around here where people on bicycles were killed or got severe brain damages.
One death despite helmet. A moped hit him from behind.

I usually think about careful riding wich is not always what I can do in the reality.

High speed on country roads were animals can jump into the bike. We have lots of wild boars running around, not only deers of various sizes, hares and the biggest of all, moose.

All close moments the last years, women in cars.

Anyway, I might end my days when falling off a chair when changing a lightbulb or stumble on gardening tools and fall with my head first into the concrete tiles on my garden patio.

I have had two good friends either be severely injured or killed as a result of a ladder accident. Neighbor friend over 10 years back had ladder fall shattered arm and breaking his facial bones...his jujitsu training allowed him to spin enough to keep from landing on his back and striking his head. Last year a good friend in Tucson had a ladder fall and he landed in such a way to sever his spinal cord near brain stem. It left him brain dead, alive long enough for them to harvest his organs to grant life to others with hos organs. He was a organ donor and his heart, corneas, liver, kidneys,  etc. were able to give life and restore life to many others.

Please be an organ donor guys...

WOW I'm in shock having just read the sad news here. I'd met and raced against Frank back in the day, and so it was like a reliving of our younger days to reconnect with him on here. It turned out we had several mutual friends in his Kelowna BC area as well. I'll never forget the photo of him riding a wheelie across a frozen lake on his 750. 754's ice racer... Race In Peace brother.  :'( :'( :'(

Frank enjoyed the products made by Tree Brewing, here in Kelowna, BC, so if any of you stumble across some of them, have one for Frank.   I do fairly often.
