Any chance you have the wiring diagram for the police additions on this bike? I have a 76 and I'm trying to determine all the add-ons.

Update for anyone who sees my post above - but JamesH on the UK forum posted an image of a wiring diagram for the '75 750P. If anyone here has a high res image or PDF that would be awesome otherwise at least I have something!

A thought about the plastic bracket: could you use a thin nut to hold the engine's bolt, then the plastic bracket, topped off with another thin nut?
This used to be how we fitted some of the front case-crash protection bars, back in the day...

Hi, I may have come across a police bike. Is it supposed to have a "p" in the VIN or how do you know for sure?

1976 K6 Anteres Red rebuilding project, was originally my brother's that I set up from the crate, it'll breath again soon!

Prior bikes....
1972 Suzuki GT380 I had charge of it for a year in 1973 while my friend was deployed and learned to love street riding....
New CB450 K7 after my friend returned...
New CB750 K5 Planet Blue, demise by ex cousin in law at 9,000 miles...
New CB750 K6 Anteres Red, to replace the totaled K5, I sold this K6 at 45k in 1983, I had heavily modified it, many great memories on it and have missed it greatly.....

None of the 69 to 76 ‘k’ police bikes that I’ve worked on had a P in the vin. Just standard Honda VIN sequence with the extra police brackets

Go back through this thread and study the frame pics - you’ll see the extra ‘police’ brackets that were added to the standard frame by Honda to fit the various guards and rear carrier. All will be revealed.

Share pics with us of what you’re buying so we can advise.

I guess you mean extra frame brackets? The bike i refer to is not complete, its a 750 with correct tank, speedo, seat, rear crashbar and tray holder. But further it could be a k6 with police parts added. Any recommendation as on how to know its genuine?

Ok, we crossed messages. No pics because i left it because there was no p in the vin. But i know how to contact the owner. Are any of these brackets welded so they could not be added later?
