Tornadoes and storms in the Midwest, everyone OK?
« on: December 11, 2021, 03:39:04 PM »
We had ridden the 200' Ferris wheel at Union Station St. Louis and 30 minutes later were on a Christmas train full of kids when the first Tornado warning sounded. There was another warning as we got off the train complete with sirens and a third when we were back at the hotel. The worst of it apparently went more south, north, and east. We just got home, there were a few power outages but not a lot of wind.

No matter how many times you paint over a shadow, it's still there.

All persons safe here in SE Michigan. No twisters but the wind has been blowing all day, 60 mph gusts knocking trees down, trees knock power lines down, 109000 without electricity and it’s the north wind blowing tonight.

Prayers going out for Kentucky and for those who have had losses.

No power for me in my section of Kalamazoo right now. (7:07pm Saturday) Lost it at 8:30am but my area is notorious for losing it, too many dying ash and elm trees. Free firewood time ---------------------

It's in the 70's here today in central Illinois, I'll take it but there is a lot of storm potential when it's this warm and humid and there is very cold air available to mix in.
I opened the shop doors but I'm sure the floor will sweat so I closed it back up.
