Rare, expensive, desirable for show, but were a factory defect removed whenever Honda could. Change my mind.
The throttle cable was changed at vin #17630, late December 1969.
In April 1970 Honda sent a recall letter to the owners of these bikes saying the cable and springs were defective and could cause stuck throttle.
The parts and install were free and thousands of bikes were returned to the dealer for installation of throttle cables, carb tops, springs and slides.
Dealers threw thousands of these "rare" parts in the trash where they belonged.
I have owned four bikes in this range, all four received the updated parts.
I ride my bikes and don't want throttle cables sticking.
I would probably replace these parts in any arrived in my garage.
Ford installed a differential shield on the differential to prevent gas tanks being ripped open.
Chevrolet installed gas tank shields on side mounted gas tanks to prevent gas tanks being ripped open.
Be sure to turn off the main breaker whenever back feeding a generator to protect linemen from back fed voltage.
Always a good idea unless you to power the whole neighborhood.
