Anybody ever use Cruzinimage rings ?
The top two rings have a r on them, does that go up ?
Also one is silver the other is all black, which us top ? Thanks

Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).
Remember "Its always in the last place you look" COURSE IT IS YOU STOP LOOKIN THEN!

I hope your experience with those are better then a couple of other fella's here on the board. They ended up with some major smokers using them in the little fours. This post is just a couple notches down from yours. Reach out for advice from these guys if needed.

Its not the Cruzin kit its the people doing the rebore not listening and making the clearance too big

No it’s not. I mean sure it could be in some cases. But I had two independent machine shops verify my piston to bore clearance. 0.0005” or something. Smoked like a coal factory.

I used cruzin image pistons and rings in my 400F (0.05 over) and no smoke. 1,500 miles. Use a good machine shop

There are countless positive experiences with the CI 400F and 750 kits. I'm not sure I've ever come across any bad experiences yet.
The opposite is true for the 350F.
If people want to believe every bad 350F experience is due to the machine shop, even when the tolerances are confirmed, well...idk what else to say. I was standing right next to the machinist when I had my clearances checked both times.
Excessive clearance will absolutely cause it to smoke and use oil. Not arguing that. So will junk rings.
