1978 cb550k transmission oil pipe
« on: December 28, 2021, 01:49:00 PM »
I’ve looked everywhere for a replacement transmission oil pipe part #15154374000 and it seems that it is no longer available. It’s the rubber hose that connects to the oil strainer under the oil pan. Could anyone point me in the direction of a suitable replacement? Correct size and type of hose. Thanks in advance.

There's this one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/284487658222?hash=item423cc92aee:g:c-QAAOSwcIJhZwEw

Or you can measure the outside diameter of the fittings and order the appropriate size tubing. I like this site to determine chemical resistance of tubing and o-ring materials: http://mykin.com/rubber-chemical-resistance-chart-3

The clamps used on 550s are still in use on many other bikes including some current CRF models, there is no size listed in the part titles though.
