Any details on this bike? 9.20's in the 1/4??

I just saw this posted on the Cycle Ex Facebook page. 9.20s in the 1/4mile???? No wheelie bar?? No turbocharger? It does mention nitrous oxide either. But 9.20s??

Okay, can anyone give some details on this bike??  Just hoping to verify the ET based on the package I see.

Looks like it may have had a Tracy body kit on it from the picture.
It would be nice if cycle x would include more information when they post their pictures...... That's my observation of their fb posts.....

That one was an earlier picture of Rick and his bike.  He put a short bar on later.

From that first photo.  Harry’s Machine Shop on the tank and New England Dragway is the track.  Rick owns and still operates Harry’s Machine Shop in Massachusetts.  Super nice guy a wealth of information and skills.  Mike Rieck has been friends with and worked with Rick doing machine work on Mikes heads for years.

Rick was pro stock champion with the Suzuki 1100 below(the next bike he built after the sohc Honda).  He owns that bike today.  First thing you see when entering his shop.

With Mike, I met Rick quite a few times when he was doing work on my bike for Mike.
Rick is a great guy, as well as doing work on my bike, he even delivered it Valdosta to be picked up by my team mate Bill Benton.

Rick built a pretty light bike, and was a fairly lightweight rider himself.  But even considering that, his times and mph on a factory based bike showed he made a substantial amount of power out of a standard stroke 73mm engine (1052cc) N/A.  Did I mention the early K head he used…not a 410 head.

My hat is off for sure

Yeh he was good tuner not afraid to try things. ie note the longer inlet manifolds not shorter like the rest of us , also the length of his exhaust collectors all indicate he was really focussed on maximising torque. That is a sign of someone very experienced.
My old saying is "torque is for the track and Horsepower is for the bar."  ;D. BUT its hard to follow that theory and easy to chase HP.  the big advantage of Torque is it makes it easier to ride/drive and that is often the difference between riders lap times, what is it they say ?" ya gotta slow down to go faster"

  Rick loved that Hooker exhaust. Hooker actually spent a lot of time developing their bike exhausts.
