Happy 50th birthday 1972 CB750
« on: January 19, 2022, 04:14:01 PM »
Hi all
Can’t believe the 750 is 50 years old.  I am adding a picture of the bike in its fourth iteration.  It was stock, then chopped and raked with a long front end(when I bought it).  Put the frame back to stock, still a lot of custom parts.  The final build.  I took the bike completely apart.  All frame parts and brackets and rear fender were powder coated.  Did a rough seat design mock up, and the result was a nice custom seat.  Replaced ALL engine screws with socket heads, one was stuck badly.  New velocity stax, and all lighting is LED except headlight (Bates), and there are blue led lighting order the tank, rear fender, and frame bottom frames.  Flame job on tank, thanks to Mikes Hog painting ( Chili Bar, Ca) rear mag may be repro, said ABE in original box.
Quit riding after ~46 years, cell phone users are worse than drunks,  sold all bikes but this one.  The 350Z is my replacement ride, convertible and 286 hsp, make a nice substitute and provide an open air feel.

The bike still runs fine, make sure you use STAB-L in the gas tank, and start it once a month.
Best of luck to other early model owners

Ken

So will I. No new bike has the charisma of the CB 750. Many have tried. All have failed
