1975 CB550K rubber bumpers under seat
« on: July 19, 2021, 08:14:25 PM »
Hello all. I am new to this forum. I have 1975 CB550K with 7700 mile on the speedo. It is pretty clean and runs well but needs some love. I have already replaced all the cables done the fork seals, front wheel bearings, steering bearings, carb overhaul/rebuild, and front disc brake/master cylinder overhaul.

Now I am cleaning up the seat a bit. Is there a source for the rubber bumpers that connect to the bottom of the seat and mate with the frame? I have 5 total, 2 tall (~1-1.5"  tall and 1/2" diameter) cylinders, 2 thick rectangles and one thin rectangle. I can't find them available anywhere. Anyone have any ideas one how to DIY these?

Thanks, Martin in Austin

Also available from DSS. More important than you think; my bike was missing the big round ones and the base fractured around the hinge because it wasn't supported in that area.

Stev-o,

Hey thanks! My seat is decent. I repainted the underside and put the bumpers on. There are no tears in the cover but the trim is slightly bummed up but acceptable. Do you still have the spare? What do you want for it?
