 Does anyone else watch his tech talk tuesday episodes? The guy is talking Harleys but the science is the same. They are on F/B but also appear on youtube later.
No matter how many times you paint over a shadow, it's still there.

 Tonight he spoke about giant bores, huge valves, straight ports, long valve stems, hollow valve heads and stems, all of the other things we don't get. At least he explains why those items work. A 65* valve angle, there's one we could have. He also mentioned valves that get in each others way, that's an F thing I think.

His sessions are very informative.  I occasionally watch it and learned a lot of good tips on anything from actual race procedures to advanced engine building. It's definitely worth the time.

+1 on the occasional good tips. I also like Paul Brodie on U-Tube........He can make or repair an entire bike ;)

  Tech talk 127 porting history. His version of how he learned it. At the beginning he shows pics of pro stock bikes and RC is there along with V&H and a few pro stock bike pioneers.

 Cam timing talk this week. He tries to explain cranking compression overlap and etc. Like they say, this guy has run over enough bike parts that he learned the hard way what works and maybe why.

A little history from before Kenny Harmon ground his first in the early 30’s to the few hydrostatic  “computerized numerical control” cam grinders. Which are already 20 years old.

 I used their red zone lifters after a set of Comp failed on the third 1/4 mile pass. I had never heard the death squeal before.

Had similar experience with that company. Had one that a journal wouldn’t even fit in the block….
But JJ always made things right with the parts….
