How do you feel handling, especially in tight turns?

Those Dunlop 404's will last forever, as they are a very hard tire. In my experience, they are not the best in tight corners. My rear will skid at a moment's notice with moderate braking, but then again, they are pretty old tires, too. Even new, they aren't the best for cornering. I am replacing them this spring.

No problem with handling as far as I'm concerned. I'm on my 3rd set now I believe.

Just replaced rear tire - new BT45, old was IRC. Both were 120/90 R17.
Suprisingly, when measuring, new BT45 is only 115mm wide and IRC is 125mm!
Start to regret I did not take some 130/90, BT45 looks really tiny

Refreshing this thread.

With the extra 10mm on the K7 & K8, I'm curious what size you're able to go to without severely hindering handling performance. 140 perhaps? I would have to accommodate for that in the front size tire though, would I not?
Thankful for everyone on this forum. Grateful to continue to learn so much.

The issue is not so much at what point does width negatively affect handling. It is (1) is there sufficient clearance for the chain and swingarm and (2) rim width.

The Bridgestone BT46 in 130/90-17 has a minimum width of 2.5", the width of a stock K8 wheel. They don't offer a 140 or 150 section tire.

130 90 is fine for the rear. Handles perfectly well. 110 90 up front. I've used that size with different brands and it's been fine. However, I was not a fan of pirellis. Had them on my fz6 and below 50f, I might as well have been riding on ice. So, pirelli is a no, in my book.
