So my beloved 750K2 is out-of-service for a bit... and I'm on it's stablemate, an '81 Honda CM400 Custom. Now the CM400 was not a real popular bike, but it's really quite a nice ride. However, she doesn't have a kick-starter... GRRRRR.
What's a motorcycle without a kick-start? A real pain in the arse is what it is. The bike had been sitting for the past 7 years when I brought it home. New battery, plugs, cleaned the jets, etc. etc... and she eagerly fired up. This morning, in the PNW pouring rain, the solenoid goes out. NO KICK START. Are you getting the theme of my rant? Good. Out comes the screwdriver to bypass the solenoid so I can get to work...
Amazingly a local Honda dealer has the solenoid in stock so off I go.
The end.
