Cylinder Sleeve Dimensions
« on: February 24, 2022, 03:11:36 PM »
I have done some searching but can't seem to find this info.  It's probably here somewhere but I gave up looking.

Can someone provide the nominal flange thickness for the stock cb750 cylinder sleeves?  I don't have a spare bank to push a sleeve out from, but thinking about sleeves for the next overhaul.

Thanks,
Rob

There is no standard thickness. They are all different, if changing a liner, it may sit up or lower that than the liner you have removed. After a liner change,  the barrels need to be skimmed in a machine  ;)

Here are three.188, .189, .194
The sleeves and cylinder were surfaced flat before assembly.

OK thanks!  Seems like they probably manufacture the sleeves with a 5mm flange thickness, then of course this changes when they final mill the deck with sleeves installed.

Measured 2 K3-K6 sleeves from a stock cylinder. Both flanges 4.9mm thick.

CycleX stepped sleeves 64mm ID at delivery, for up to 67.5mm bores.
+1mm thicker flange, 5.9-6mm, measured 2.
