Tach needle

Does anyone know how to remove the tach needle on a 77 F2? I have this tach apart hoping to change the faceplate. Don't want to do the wrong thing and break it. Thanks for the help!

 Slip a fork under the center and gently lift or rock it against a piece of cardboard.
