Thanks guys, well I woke up this morning (a great start for every blues song) feeling fine, but when I jumped into my car at 0515 I had a sharp pain in my left side. As I drove into the city it got really bad and eventually it got so bad I took myself off to the Alfred Hospital.

Turns out I have a kidney stone, so they drugged me up with morphine (my drug of choice) and I’m currently feeling no pain. Not sure what’s going on and when I’ll be discharged (and importantly, when the stone will be discharged) but I’m sure it’ll all work out in the end. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Oh no! Well, enjoy the morphine and don't tear your inner bits up too much passing that stone.

Me too Bill, everything’s booked for my Magical Mystery Tour on Thursday, so unless told otherwise, I’m still going! ;D

Not exactly the photos of humans that I was referring to, Terry.  Sorry to hear of your troubles. Hope you're well quick enough to make the run this week.   (Pass that bad boy)

Gee, I go away for a couple weeks and you go buy a bike, a murder weapon from Bavaria no less and then you go get yourself checked in to the hospital too!
Sorry to hear of your poor choices

Just kidding, I wouldn't kick a rt1200 out of my shed, would need to kick something else out to make room for it to fit though...
I screwed up my knee on the 6th and won't be riding for a couple more weeks...at least. Orthopedic surgeon takes a look at me Wednesday as it has been not responding as one would expect...

Terry, they give you red socks?
It's a coded color... My ankles are big as I am a large jointed fellow built like a linebacker with broad shoulders and big frame. Regular socks don't work they have to cut them or they cut off circulation on me. So, I found out the color code of socks... Red is you shouldn't be out unattended... They see red socks the nurses and orderlies start
asking you questions and seeing if they can assist you back to your room.  Yellow socks are fall caution or may require assistance and the tan colored ones were for "normal" people.
I was never normal sized with big frame and tall, I bet you were always unique too.
Get well quick Terry...

David- back in the desert SW!

Terry, could they partially soften/break-up that stone with ultrasound so it would pass with less resistance?

Would a nice bath in an ultrasonic leaner do the trick ? You could share the bath with a carb rack or two.

Your kidney needs some good vibrations, Terry. ;)

Thanks guys, that "Hospital Sock 101" was interesting David, I had red socks put on me for the bariatric surgery and the TURP in 2018, but the facial reconstruction in 2019 was a day procedure, albeit 6 hours in the operating room, but no red socks.

I've just changed my flight and accommodation bookings to 2 weeks from Thursday, and sent Gill (the PO of my BMW) a text to let him know. He probably won't read it for a day or two so I hope he's OK with it, but I was very close to the time limit for cancelling without losing lots of dough. That means that I'm going to miss the Z1 50th anniversary weekend in Dubbo, which pisses me off, but the thought of going thru this pain again, on my own, and miles from home helped me make the decision. It is a biggie, but sh1t happens, I'll just suck it up.

I've emailed my bariatric surgeon who was monitoring some lumps in my liver, to see if she can give me some advice on how to manage the stone over the next few days, I'd really like to get it sorted ASAP. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"
