I want to get my CB750 K2 tank and sidepods painted in the near future and am looking for recommendations of paint shops who have shown they can do a good job reproducing the proper OEM Honda color and tank stripes.

Anyone have any experience with this? I don't want to try to do a candy paint job with my pathetic paint skills.

No experience with this place myself. Marble Motors sells and sprays their paints from what I understand. Located in Texas.

Be prepared to dig deep into your wallet, as I expect well north of a grand or much more for any professional paint job and the materials involving candy finishes and striping.

Yeah, I would expect so. The proper paint supplies alone probably exceeds $300 plus the prep work would be significant. But, it's the look of the bike and it would suck to spend a lot of money on the paint then muff it up because I did it wrong. I have rattle-can level paint skills and even my $20 harbor freight purple guy wont fix that! I'm happy to pay for a talented person to do their magic and transform my bike.

There must be some very talented painters in L.A., I wouldnt look further than that and have to risk damage in shipment.

Provide the proper paint to get the job done right, check references and have a game plan, it's not brain surgery.

I've had a couple body sets painted locally and have been very pleased with the results.

Member Steve alluded to the Flake Sunrise in his link, is that your color your going for. I like that color and stripe combo in 1972.

Defiantly read the link from WideAWAKE. Knowing what Bob went through I would stay away from Marbles

If you're in the LA area and you want a candy paint job (and you're picky), check out Mike Clary of Clary's Custom Color. You can DM him on Instagram (preferred) or email him at claryscustom@gmail.com

His works is perfection.  It's not cheap but it's worth the price.
