Test run fail-clutch 1979 CB650
« on: March 09, 2022, 02:44:33 PM »
So what not to do.  So I have got quite a bit of work done to the bike now.   Running really well. After new installation of sprockets and chain I decided to test it on centre stand.  1st and second gear good.
It’s a nice day so why not a test drive on the street.  FYI.  I have a really steep driveway.  I coasted down driveway not running. Started bike at the bottom.  Pulled clutch lever in.  Kicked into 1st.  Stalled.  Repeated many times.   No go.  So I have a clutch cable or clutch problem.
Now the bad not what to do.  Don’t attempt to try this when your 2 muscle friends are out of town to help push the bike back up the very steep driveway.  Lol
Thanks to my wife and female neighbour we got it up the driveway and in the garage.

Anyway a funny story we can joke about now.

Cheers
Darren
