Yeah, I’ve never seen this hub before or heard of Delta. Maybe Delta is just the casting company but wouldn’t think so. I’ve googled a bit but not come up with much. It looks like early CB750 Cush drive by the design but don’t have any laying around to check, trying to borrow one to check before buying. The disc is a typical 80mm pcd that most the factory Japanese (and others) and aftermarket used from that period and still today.
The master as well looks Honda-ish but the ones I’ve seen have a plastic reservoir and aluminum cap. The rotor looks like Kawasaki drill pattern, but could be anything really.
Would really like the learn the origins . Maybe it’s not special at all , but cool in my book.

That is a really cool find. Who knows, it might have inspired the F0 rear disc. I was surprised to see the cognito moto billet rear disc brake hub for $700.

I've been told Delta is somehow connected with Campagnonlo and Delta was who actually made many of the trick brakes stuff back in the day for the racing road bicycles. One guy , in Italy, was very excited about it, it seemed but was reluctant to say much, but was going to make some calls and come back to me. I'm away on work for most the week, but will get some more pics and dig a bit more when I get home.

I’m a bit fascinated by it myself.  A lot of work went into that setup.  And of course it was not a budget item to purchase. For racing, it’s definitely lighter than the factory drum setup, but not nearly as light as a small hub disc non Cush drive rear.

The RSC magnesium drum hub skipped the Cush drive, and many other vintage racing solutions skipped the Cush for racing. So I’m wondering if that setup was geared directly toward the high end modified street bike crowd.  The guys who really liked to show off and spend it in the process on rare stuff for a show bike.

I can imagine someone polishing it perfectly and lacing on a polished 5.5/18 Akront rear wheel and 180 tire for a custom show chopper or something.  I’d bet Kiyo in Torrence Ca would use it on something wild if he had it.

That master cylinder looks like its from a 1976 CB750F..The early ones have a plastic body, but they changed mid way through the 1975 model year.

The caliper looks like a 2-piston Honda caliper with the Honda logo filed off smooth and the black paint removed? These calipers were first used starting in 1982, and used FA69 pads, IIRC. They came in a variety of piston sizes, with the largest being 32mm. They work very well. ;D

I believe you are correct on the bracket and caliper. It is obviously a later generation than the hub and as you say its early 80s 750 900 1100 from the honda PN 43100-MG5-671, 43100-MB7-611, 43110-445-631

Honda CB1100F CB750F CB900F FC Brake Caliper Rear

And if i were a betting man, I'd say the disc is an afterthought as well to fit the aftermarket 80mm PCD on the time, that is now very standard. Looks like they took a  750 F1 F2 rear disc and welded in a center to convert to the smaller bolt pattern,...hence the larger bolt pattern still visible on the outer part....and drilled the rotor.
