New exhaust 750K6
« on: March 23, 2022, 02:20:42 PM »
Been a while since I’ve posted. 750K6. I’ve been looking at pipes, since I have stock in good condition, but will be riding daily this season in Vermont due to absurd used car prices. Think I should save my stock pipes. Should have bought the $1000 repro set on Silver Spares 10 years ago. LOL. Any leads on repros, or good 2 into 1’s? I found some for around $700. Like the 2 into 1 look better than 4-1. No real reason.

I have a pretty nice set of 2 into ones that look sound great. Brand unknown. I have since replaced these on my K1 with DSS repops. I would be happy to part with the set. Sorry for poor photos. I can take more. If interested please PM me

I agree…. It’s like remodelling your house, to sell. Keep them clean and drill out the drain holes so they dump any condensate. I run an NOS set of real Honda HM300 pipes on my K1. I’m 69 years old and plan to use them up!

They should be fine if the runs dry them out.

I'm with Stev-o, run them and enjoy the sound.  That's a design feature that gave our 750's a distinctive look.  I'm 72 and will keep running the HM341's on my K4.  If not now, when?

Air pollution aside, some guys allegedly run a bit of 2 stroke oil in the gas to keep the insides of the gas tank and exhaust oiled.

I like the encouragement to just run ‘em. LOL. I just see what they go for now and think about the value if I ever sold the bike… though that seems unlikely. Minor rust hole in #2, patched with steel stik, so there’s a tiny bit of rusting going on.

I’ll think on it, Beemerbum. Thanks for the replies, guys.
