You going to race it Don ?
Not until it gets new primary and cam chains, and I get the rings and cylinders figured out. In normal riding it's fine but after two miles at 85+ it gets tight, cranks hard and needs to cool off. The odd part is that it did that before and after I put in new rings and with two different heads. My end gap spec is still on a sticky note over the work bench, my thought is a new early cylinder, pistons and rings. If I go over 836 the RC rods should come out too.
I could resurrect Tom's old 1124 stroker, it also needs pistons and a new cylinder. It once ran within .02 of the NHRA record, they asked him to consider whether he would be willing to do a tech teardown if he broke it. I have no idea what the time was or even what class. I should have gone to visit more often while he was here.
Even then, I only want to make a few runs to see how fast I can go on it. Our dragster uses up most of my competitive urge, energy, time, money, etc.
