That PET sleeving comes in many sizes, just have to use some black heat shrink that has some adhesive on inside to secure ends do they don't slide... Or use the non-adhesive version if you'd druther...

Good information thanks again, I feel like I could up my wiring game a little. I can always make it work but also feel like it could look nicer.

It didn't bother me one bit when I cut up these 4-1 turn signal mounts, one was already back welded from when it fell apart. The replacement mount hardware parts are Yamiya, listed in the 400F section.
The lights are vintage Drag Specialties.

I made my Cobra face the wrong way so it would be an obvious fake to an RC expert. I need to polish up my RC alternator cover plate so it looks good over the chrome. I need to get a light flywheel on it and the 750A alternator coils.

Russ Collins Jr. said he wasn't able to buy this header in this condition at any price, he had to settle for a black one. Dang. I guess I'm not drilling it for an O2 sensor any time ever.

That's pretty crazy!  I just finished putting together an F0 with that excact pipe.  The bike will get sold.  Earlier this summer I sold a K7 with that exact pipe.  Both of them the chrome is slightly scruffier than yours.  I still got a black one hangin on the shelf.  I value these pipes only second to a Kerker.  I don't think many others really know or care what they are.  Maybe jr. needs to widen his search a bit further than Facebook.

This RC was on my Dad's bike, he sold it to a friend of mine with the stock pipes, my friend put the RC on it in the early 80s. It's a bit roasted now but still solid. It's hanging up in my parts room, had to move it this afternoon to clean out space to back in a K2 for the winter.

I went out and rubbed some out of the blue on mine L0L! I'm taking the engine apart this winter so it will get a good polish then.
I have a Kerker on my GS1100, it makes an astounding noise on the industrial street where I let it loose once in a while.

Some things will sell for far more separate from the bike than they will on the bike..sad reality.

I want to put a starter drive back on my lightened flywheel. Due to my inability to unscrew the 3 starter drive screws from an old flywheel, I ordered 5 new ones off of ebay.  Now I can simply drill out the old ones.
I got 5 because that's what was listed. When it's apart this winter, I'll install the lightened flywheel and the Hondamatic alternator. I tried kickstarting this old 836 and that ain't happening, so the starter stays on board.

The LED yellow running/park light, I tried blue, but it's so blue I didn't want to attract undue attention from the Gendarmes. It's wired for working any time the key is on. This is DSS's light, I prefer the Yamiya Marchal, it has a better "park light on" reflector pattern.
Another thought while this is getting new primary and cam chains, the clutch springs are way too strong. I'm wondering if they are even clutch springs as heavy as they are. I remember seeing some purple colored ones, maybe those are in it.

I dug out a premium cam chain with flat side links today so now I've got a full set of chains and tensioners for the overhaul. The tensioner shim that I made got used on the K0-1 so I'll make a few of them next time.
My late Honda mentor's bike had the stroker motor, I have a nearly new Vance and Hines 4-1 DOHC pipe for it but recently a guy that knew the bike was cleaning his shed and came down the driveway with the original big tube black header from it.

Thanks Dime, I'm honored that the bike inspired someone. The previous owner never turned up a picture of how he had it, but I attempted to make use of the best stuff out of the batch that he sold to me along with a few of the best parts from my buddy's drag bike.

Not until it gets new primary and cam chains, and I get the rings and cylinders figured out. In normal riding it's fine but after two miles at 85+ it gets tight, cranks hard and needs to cool off. The odd part is that it did that before and after I put in new rings and with two different heads. My end gap spec is still on a sticky note over the work bench, my thought is a new early cylinder, pistons and rings. If I go over 836 the RC rods should come out too.
I could resurrect Tom's old 1124 stroker, it also needs pistons and a new cylinder. It once ran within .02 of the NHRA record, they asked him to consider whether he would be willing to do a tech teardown if he broke it. I have no idea what the time was or even what class. I should have gone to visit more often while he was here.
Even then, I only want to make a few runs to see how fast I can go on it. Our dragster uses up most of my competitive urge, energy, time, money, etc.

I know, given time, that you'll find the correct pistons/rings to cylinder clearances;a stronger starter will help too..  I think you may have 'too many irons in the fire' Don .
You need a few men working with you to get all of these projects complete  ::) ;D

I used to believe in the old saying David Freiberger from Roadkill often repeats, "don't get it right, just get it running" method but I've learned some corners shouldn't be cut because they will lead you back down the same path repeatedly.

I rode the bike to the car club storage unit, one of my buddies said I look too old to be on a bike like that. He rides Harleys. I will admit with this seat my knees really get bent to get my feet on the pegs. I nearly bought a rear set last night but the ad was wrong, it said K5 but the bike was an F and the pedals had the rear disc brake so that side bolted to the F bracket.
I'm unwilling to lose my wide drum brake Lester.

I made an offer of what I got paid for being an election judge on the Tarozzi rear set. I did win them, if I can't modify the brake side to work with a drum brake, I'll put them on the raked drag bike frame and modify the swingarm to take the disc brake.
I have an F1 and an F3 rear disc set to choose from. I also kept the rear frame sections. Both bikes had no titles and were rusted on the bottoms. cut, cut, snip, snip.

I was pleased to have the old bike on the calendar. I built it from a parts hoard but it's mostly RC Eng. parts I got from Steve Egli. I almost named it the "other Egli bike".
Mark, I'd almost bet you had crossed paths with Steve and some of his bikes in the past, he's been near Metamora Il. (E. Peoria) forever and raced the streets and all of the local drag strips when you were in the area.
He even followed the Honda guys back to their pit spot at the Man cup one year when he was there with his Hayabusa but couldn't get anybody to come look at his CB750 stash. I'm glad they didn't.

I found a set of Tarozzi rear sets reasonable, the shifter side rear set controls are on, the brake side is for a disc brake Super Sport so I'm using parts from this kit and a set of universal rear controls to make it work with a drum brake, the spline adapter has a shorter lever than the Tarozzi lever, it should increase pedal effort a bit. If it doesn't work well, I'll have to ruin the chrome and weld to it.
The seller didn't send the brake lever spline adapter for the disc master cyl. set. Neither of us knew it was special for the Tarozzi levers. It's on the way now.
