Well the Cafe project is taking shape.

I finally found some head light ears I liked. If some one is looking for a good set try this link.

They actually have a lot of stuff that could be used to customize our bikes.  BTW, love your avatar.  It inspired me to do something similar for my gauges. (if I get around to finishing it)

Anyone know of anyway to recess your headlight in a bit?

Just a small thing I've been wondering about, I kind of like the look.

Those ears look alot better than the little chrome ones. If I remove my stock ears on my 1973 cb550 and remove the factory boot how can I protect the fork oil seal? Since there is no dust seal? What's the trick? Thanks guys.

Waited forever for the site to load, gave up.... bad pc..

Thse ears look like Ceriani light ears or copies thereof.. also known as ARCES sometimes (foundry name).

If you think those look nice look at their roadrace forks... you'll never go back to Japanese...

Hey guys, I just wanted to give a heads up. I also used after market headlight ears and wanted to retain the shock boots. Well, since the boots are made to hug the factory headlight ears I was stumped how to keep them in place. Well a friend of mine came up with an awesome idea that worked amazingly. He took a piece of fuel line and cut it so it would go around the fork tube. Then he took a wire tie and ran it through the fuel line. He cut off the extra and it was the EXACT size that matched the inside diameter of the top of the fork boot. We stretched the boot over the fuel line and it works great. A perfect water tight seal and it conceals the fuel line so it looks stock. If anyone wants to see pictures, Ill take some and post a new topic in the trick and tips section.
