Wiring help
« on: April 02, 2022, 05:38:16 PM »
Hi all,

I have just joined up to the forum from NZ (see the member intro).

I recently bought a 77 CB550F that needed some work. I bought a bunch of stuff from 4into1 and am happy with it all. Good quality and does what it should….apart from the main wiring harness which is an array of different colours to the original.

I got in touch with 4into1 who said to come along here as someone has uploaded a wiring diagram specifically for it. But…I can’t find it anywhere.

Does anyone know where to find the diagram to match 4into1’s harness? Or know what is what??

Thanks,
John

i did a little searching but so far can't find a drawing.  try hitting calj737 up with a message.  he may know where it is.  i think he's more of an munit guy though.  http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=188850.0

If you can put up pics of the loom where it fits into connector blocks and headlamp i will attempt to decifer it for you,BUT long distance(and you cant get much longer than NZ to UK!) electical diagnosis can be very difficult.
Q1 do you own a multimeter?
Q2 can you use it?
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

Remember "Its always in the last place you look" COURSE IT IS YOU STOP LOOKIN THEN!

Thanks guys,
I’ll try to get some photos done today and will send a message to calj737.

Out of interest, what company do others use for a new loom

Don't know about the 550 but HondaMan has written a lot on the 750 wiring harness.
