Just to expand the 750 data base a little you mentioned your bike still had original tires when you got it and saved them. Are they Bridgestone's ? Maybe for fun you could post up a pic of the tread pattern sometime for 'that guy' who wants as close to stock as possible.
I've got a low mileage 1971 Suzuki T500 that still has its factory redline tires on it. Can't be many left that still do.
