I think you already mentioned the CB550 bearings. I did read a thread or two earlier on the HondaCB650 forums where someone took measurements and found that they share the same width as CB650 crank bearings. The problem is that there is no definitive answer regarding how they worked out in the end.

I know! really frustrating. The pessimistic side of me thinks that the reason no one heard from them again is that they got their engines destroyed...  :o ;D

Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).
