Mom and Pop motorcycle shops.
« on: April 26, 2022, 11:16:35 AM »
There are a couple left in the area, one specializing in Honda and now also Quad runner repair, the other was always a brit bike shop. The owners are getting up in age, it will be interesting to see how it shakes out.
Our local Harley shop was always a successful family owned business until Harley made them get a high rent building near the interstate, recently the newest owner lost or gave up the Harley Davidson franchise. I'm not a HD guy but I still hate to see a local shop go downhill.
I know the owner of the building too, they built it for the shop to lease. I'm guessing the lease is part of his retirement plan.
No matter how many times you paint over a shadow, it's still there.

this one is still operating by the two sons. It's no longer an official Honda franchise. He's also an Indian expert and does restorations. He gets occasional visits from the david silver and CMS people. Tons of vintage honda parts. He's not a discount dealer...he knows what he has.

Nice! Details please. I'd like to visit them too and maybe do some parts buying. I met a guy in NH that has a bunch of NIS parts and also sells to CMSL.
