Hey everyone,
I purchased a 1974 CB750k4 last winter and finally have it up and running, I want to swap out the seat (easy part) so that my wife can join me on rides. What I did not notice is that when the previous owner did some modifications to the bike he also chopped off the triangle where the passenger foot pegs connect to the frame. To be honest, I do not really like the look of that triangle that pops off the frame anyway, and was wondering if anyone knew of any alternate solutions? I was thinking, but couldn't find, if there was a bracket extension where the rider foot pegs are that can extend back and up so that passenger foot pegs could be connected, this would be a much better way. I am also open to welding on a fabricated peice of metal, I am just having a hell of a time finding anything.
Anyone else come across this issue? I added two images as attachments for reference.
