Neutral light green/red
« on: May 03, 2022, 11:27:09 PM »
Hello gang, I have a non-stock 1974 cb750k. It is the motor in a bobber frame. I am pretty good with the wiring at this point, I believe however, the fore-mentioned light green/red (neutral switch) wire that has one end come out below the starter motor housing and the other end comes out of the harness above the starter motor housing. The bottom I think, gets grounded on the engine. The other end...? Do I hook it to the +12 side of battery? One of the ignition (key switch) places (ie b=batt.,I=ignition, acc=accessories) or just cap it off. I have heard that this wire complicates as it is a safety feature and the bike won't start unless the clutch is being held. Well, I don't have a clutch w/ any wires hooked to it, it's analog so, I really do not want that "safety" function on my bike.i want to have the bike start and run... just don't want that added item.any help is always greatly appreciated. This is pretty much my last wire that I need attached.

Neutral switch is connected to ground when in neutral, other wire goes from battery through switch then to light.
