Backfire at crank, won't start.
« on: May 05, 2022, 08:27:34 AM »
After the long hours installing my m-unit blue, the bike won't start. Cranks, have spark, just backfires.

I followed directions from Taylor's video from classic Octane, but he didn't say how to wire the blue and yellow wore from the points, only how to run power to the coils.

I ran the blue and yellow wires straight to the coils, blue to yellow, yellow to yellow. Black wire from the coils go to ignition output on m-unit (Is this correct?)

The revival manual says to run the points to the ignition Out from the m-unit so I'm assuming I wired it correctly.

Ps the bike has never backfired prior.

It worked! Fired right up. Only thing left is to figure out how to get the neutral light to turn off when in gear  ???

Swap the blue and yellow wires at the coils.
