CB750 K1 Float and Main Jet Sizes
« on: June 03, 2007, 07:40:49 AM »
Guys, I'm putting together a set of K4 carbs to fit on a K1 (1971) CB750. The factory shop manual doesn't give the float height in mm's or inches. I'd guess at 25mm, but better to check first. Does someone have this measurement? The manual refers to a specific tool, but not height measurements.

Also, what ar the main jet sizes? I used 120's in my K4 K&N fitted carbs, but the specs call for 120's in a stock airboxed, stock piped K1 - seem right? These are going to a fellow that doesn't know the in-outs of tuning.

Thanks,
Gordon

float height from 69-75 is 26mm if I remember correctly. I just rebuilt my '71 carbs as well.

yep, 26mm float height measured from the bowl gasket floor me thinks.
105 mains in the K4 carbs with stock airbox/exhaust configuration.

cheers!

120 mains with the needle clip in the middle groove I think, look in the carb faq thread to confirm.
