Thanks for that reminder Terry.
How do I like it...hmm, where to begin...
I'm very impressed with the fuel injection, you can roll on the throttle at pretty much any speed in any gear and it just goes without chugging painfully. You can also gently roll off the throttle and decelerate confidently in most any situation. I don't know if I activated the ABS at any point, but I was riding on some sand covered twisties and a few dirt roads with full confidence in the bike. Having not ridden in 5 or 6 years I was very wobbly on my test ride, which was all residential, stop sign to stop sign. After ten minutes or so of that I felt pretty comfortable.
There are a few tendencies toward wobbly riding that I'll need to iron out, I've been watching videos and reading forum posts and the general consensus is to do all of the things any of us would do with any old bike. I wouldn't expect that, but it's sorted easily enough I guess.
Reports that the mirrors are cheap and buzzy, and the foot pegs are in a horrible location seem to have skipped this bike altogether, or I'm better fitted to it than some.
I'm shopping for a tall seat and some pegs that are stepped lower, I was experiencing the sort of hip pain that PeWe has mentioned a few times.
I've got pile of cheap bits & bobs on the way, more to report soon. I'll send the seller's plate back and get it all legal in my name soon, looks like a busy work week ahead though.
