First 2022 Ride

First ride of the year. Took the KLR650 for 100 mile run and a lunch stop. Cool, sunny, great day!

You’re not going to believe this, but since I stopped working 14 hours/day, I dumped ALL the electronics. No phone, Blackberry, cameras or pagers! Call me at home, and leave a message. If I’don’t call you back, figure it out........

I've got something as unbelievable also. I'm 63 years old and have never owned a credit card. Did break down and get a debit though cause you almost need some kind of plastic to survive nowadays.

We have three cards which come in handy but we do a lot of cash transactions. It's funny, some stores look at a $100 bill like.....
What is that? They often have to go find a key to open the dusty cash drawer.

Not “old school”, just “out of school”. I have an IPad and notebook I use every day. Just don’t carry any more devices, ever.

Totally liberating! My wife occasionally insists I take along her phone, if she thinks she might need something when I’m wandering around.  Otherwise; “leave a message”.

I know it pisses some people off, but frankly I’ve taken note of who they are and decided I don’t care!

I don't blame you, the chaos of the connected world can get annoying.

I've often wondered, what did phone scammers do with themselves before I got a phone? And how did the world get by without my electronic signature.
