longer tach cable
« on: May 18, 2022, 08:24:13 AM »
My Hot rod bike had a really long tach cable which confused me, choppers and cafe racers don't need a different tach cable and tall handlebars don't change the length.
When I swapped the front wheel the speedometer cable broke and while checking my parts tote, I noticed there was a new tach cable so I installed that and just for giggles held the old tach cable up to the speedometer drive.
Yup, there was a speedometer cable on the tach.  Two problems solved, one part.
No matter how many times you paint over a shadow, it's still there.
