I'm doing a front end conversion and struggling with the decision of whether i should go with a GSX-R 600 front end or CBR1000RR. I've narrowed down 2 great front ends on eBay, but the price difference is staggering. Granted, the GSX-R is a 2014 and the CBR is a 2018, but it's a price difference of $700. Both are complete front ends with forks, calipers, lines, ect.

It's my understanding (from the pictures and from doing research) that both of these front ends have Showa forks with adjustable. Only difference I can spot is that the CBR has Tokico calipers, while the GSX-R has Brembo calipers.

My question here is: is one superior to the other? If so, then in what ways?
Thankful for everyone on this forum. Grateful to continue to learn so much.

Not sure on which front end would be better. But there's a lot more stuff out there for converting these over to GSXR forks. Seems to be more aftermarket stuff available for the GSXR as well.

I've notices that as well, however I only need it for the forks and calipers - performance mod strictly; better handling and braking.

Just want to choose what's best in terms of that performance.

Unless you are making your bike MUCH more powerful I don't think that any performance differences will matter in your application. Either should be a nice upgrade over the stock forks.

If the brake calipers are one of your criteria, I’d go for the Brembos. Nothing wrong with Tokicos, but Brembos are at least one level up from Tokicos.
