Lined tank and Seafoam.
« on: June 04, 2022, 07:40:54 PM »
So guys does anyone know what effect, if any, of adding Seafoam to a tank that is  lined. Will it degrade the liner or cause it to turn to mush and clog the heck out of the carbs or no problem ?
If your sure it's a carb problem; it's ignition,

I was wondering the same when i used red kote to line my tank and also searched, it was brought up on the seafoam FAQs, "Sea Foam would be safe to use with any fuel tank liner as it’s much more gentle than gas or diesel fuel." quoted off their site.

so far so good, ive gone through a bottle or two and no issues here.

I had to line my tank on my '71 and have used Sea Foam for every winter. I use Sea Foam as a stabilizer and a cleaner. I have never had an issue with the liner.
