parking brake spring
« on: May 10, 2022, 11:22:47 PM »
Has anyone got any info on fitting the parking brake spring  i have tried everything but cant see how to tension it    seems to hook on to the plate the cable attaches to then into a hole in the housing   Update to any one who is interested   you have to take the whole thing out of the housing its held in with 2 screws  both very tight  you may need an impact driver to remove them   remove the circlip and take of the ratchet and pawl retainer  the whole thing will be full of crap  clean it out  if you have a new spring or reinstall the old one  you need to hook it onto the pawl retainer and wind it round to the  hole in the back plate   I cant find any info on this anywhere

Thanks for going to the trouble of recording the process, much appreciated.
