PD carb squirter bowl clogged inlet = no squirt , help !
« on: June 03, 2022, 04:39:34 PM »
Hey fellas. No squirt from the 4 carb squirters because the squirter bowl on #2 carb is not filling due to blocked/stuck/ corroded valve in the bottom. Anyone successfully maybe drilled out the valve and fixed it some way ?

If your sure it's a carb problem; it's ignition,

Strip a piece of #14 or #16 solid copper wire (whatever fits best in the hole). Snip the end on a diagonal with wire cutters. Chuck the other end in your variable speed, cordless drill. Leave just enough to get down through the hole, insert and rotate slowly. A short piece of guitar string works even better as a “flexible drill bit”....... Good Luck.

Oooh ! Will try that, I think it's just a ball bearing and a seat, right. As the diaphragm pushes down it seals the ball to the seat and as the diaphragm releases up ( by the spring ) it opens the ball for fuel flow from the carb bowl, correct ?
