Rear Brake arm for a K1
« on: June 06, 2022, 01:46:38 AM »
For some odd reason the rear brake arm was missing off the project bike that I acquired. I can't find them on David Silver Spares or CMSNL and eBay is proving elusive. Any suggestions where I can get the part, or what alternatives will work without looking out of place?

TIA

Gareth

Which arm are you referring to? The arm that goes on the backing plate? The pivot arm/rod that goes in the frame? Or the actual foot pedal itself?

Search here for "rear brake arm".
https://m.ebay.com/seller?sid=twowheelspares&_trksid=p2349624.m3561.l49544

Can be the moving arm on brake cover or the arm from swing arm holding the brake cover in place.
The latter available at Yamiya750.com. Chromed or stock style.
The lever used by the foot usually called pedal.

I probably have a brake arm, if that's actually what you need.

There are some aluminum options as well as The stock one.

Joker Machine makes one in black or silver https://jokermachine.com/products/honda-cb-rear-brake-strap-black

TTR400 makes one also https://4into1.com/ttr400-rear-brake-strap-silver-honda-cb350-cb400f-cb550-cb750/quote

I’ve made my own a few times from a  piece of 1” aluminum flat stock. Radiused the ends and drilled a row of 5/8” holes for a racy look. Polished it up too. I think it went on my “F”. It’s in tension, so almost any material will work….
