550 Stator cleanage

Finally got the stator cover off my k4 today, and I'm not sure what to think. The bike isn't charging at any rpm and I have gone through TTs charging check guide. Next step is cleaning and refreshing the stator and it's connections. What would you recommend?

Its NOT the big steel bit, its UNLIKELY to be the windinds and its probably the connections
