There is always Canadian pricing, no 1970 has sold for over $20k on Bring a Trailor take that into account.

I've always wondered if vehicles in Canada dont sell for as much in the States because most guys in the U.S. dont wanna deal with importing it?

My good friend bought an awesome '69 Chevelle on autohunter.com auction site for a steal [$25K].  It took six weeks and $5000 to get it from British Columbia to Texas!
Funny thing is he didnt even realize it was in Canada when he bid, but even with the extra expense, was still a bargain and is a fabulous car.

Stev-o, as a general rule the high end vehicles don't sell for as much in Canada. The market is much smaller reducing demand. Most US customers don't want to deal with the hassle of the border paperwork.

If you look at Canadian cars on Bring a Trailer they frequently don’t meet reserve as the Canadian owners are seeking US prices. Some of the Canadian dealers have realized this and move the cars down to the US before the sale.

Watched with interest. It's rare to get a friendly discussion of values and this one was discussed in an appropriate way. I'll need to move along a bike or two in the near future.

David.... you are correct in your summary. I sold to a pleasant guy in Toronto, who recognized the quality and paid my very fair asking price. Got the mid point on the reasonable suggestions made here (but in Canadian dollars). I’m sure I hit a “high water” mark for Cb750s in this country and am totally satisfied!

Well done John, there might be one less bike in the barn, but nice to see that you've got lots of bux in the bank in case another "bargain" comes along. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Yesterday I fired up the K0, after installing the four rubber disc gaskets under the carb tops (I’d forgotten to install them in the rush to finish the bike for Cobble Beach). What a difference! Carbs were easy to sync and the settings maintained. Of course, the bike now runs better than ever! Just in time to move it on......

Yep it makes a huge difference John, the well known internet “expert” who I bought my shiny restored K0 carbs from left them out and so I farted around with jetting to compensate before the penny dropped and I realised that something was missing. It certainly idles smoother with the slide seals in place. ;D

Way back when, I helped the boss do multiple tune-ups when the shop was overloaded. He always took a flat screwdriver, laid  the blade on the bump of the round top of the carb, and gave it a couple light taps to snug the round top nut. I was always surprised how much it turned, not a 1/4 turn, but it moved every time.

John, that’s a nice photo of a gorgeous motorcycle. You should make yourself an enlargement/poster.

Kevin.... That photo was by a pro. He was doing a series on different bikes. He did the Benelli and my “F” as well. Made me three huge enlargements!

Funny how Hondas always run best with all the original parts where they belong! Lesson learned.
