Hi everyone.  I’ve enjoyed this site for some time now and decided it was finally time to get out of guest mode and join.  I’m becoming less and less technically savvy as the years go by and am sure that I am but one click away from internet disaster. But here goes.

I bought my CB400F in 1975 when I was a 17 year old parts chaser at a local Honda shop in SoCal.  I loved that bike, but like most things in life, as it started to show its age, it was pushed aside for a newer, sexier model.  A friend offered to take it and…..do something with it.  He took it apart, bagged the misc bits and pieces and let it sit.  I gathered back all the parts after about 15 years and let it sit in my garage for another 10 years or so. Over the course of the last several years, with the help of this site and a ridiculous number of beers, I got my old friend back together (mostly correct) and running again.  I have taken it out on some short local rides and it still gets a thumbs up from some folks.

I’m looking forward to chatting with you all and getting tips of how this thing should have been assembled.  Cheers.

Welcome aboard lowspeedwobble
That is great that you got it back and have it running again.  The 400F is a great bike.

Good job!
When I do that, some of the pieces...enter another dimension.
Or something.
