For those who have seen these carbs before, the nightmare continues!
I removed the Drain screw from the bottom of the float bowl and found the tapered tip had been cut off???
Looking inside the screw orifice the overflow tube had been replaced and fitted right through the section.

So now I need to source a replacement overflow tube and drain screw
