Any thanks I give will be woefully inadequate, but they have it.  I have other thoughts about their sacrifice, but I'll let it be.

I was thinking about it today too. I watched some WW2 movies over the weekend, I'm more mindful than usual this year.

I can not imagine the horror they felt when the landing gates dropped. May they rest in peace.
