CB550 Oil Leak
« on: June 30, 2022, 08:03:09 AM »
Hi Guys, my CB550 is leaking oil from (I think) the end side cover of the cylinder head cover. There are 2 o rings under each. I can't get them for a week. The part number is 91319-323-000
Does anyone know a good off the shelf replacement for this o ring?

Thanks, Rick.

More likely that the soft washer between the bracket the cover screws to and cam cover is leaking
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

Think they are 6 x 3mm cross section. But as Bryan says other potential leak is under the L bracket that holds the covers in place. There is a crush washer under bracket, but if it's here do not overtighten 6mm bolt as it can strip.
