Just move the cursor over your name next to your post, the hypertext that displays at the bottom of the screen will have your member number at the end.  You are number 60!

What's a member number and is there a reason I would need to know that? When I pass my curser over my name, it just says something like "see profile of Uncle Ernie"

Well, I feel dumber than usual; still can't figure out where you got that info. The other question- is that number useful to know for some reason?

If you can`t see your number then your Status Bar is disabled. If you`re using Internet Explorer, just click on View in the upper left corner of the page then click on Status Bar and you`ll see a check mark next to it telling you its enabled.

It seems that webtv, which is my only access to the web right now, doesn't support this option. Makes me wonder what else I'm missing out on. I'm having more and more problems with webtv as it doesn't seem to be able to keep up with the rest of the world. For example, I haven't been able to log in to ebay for a couple of weeks now and missed out on a fairing I've been looking for. Both ebay and msn claim they are working on it but I can see the writing on the wall. It's time to get a computer.

OK, well, that check is next to "status bar" and still nothing. Since I haven't experienced any catastrophies lately, I guess it doesn't matter too much. Thanks for trying-

I don't get the member # either even though I have a check mark next to the status bar. I guess some people have a different setup going on.

Mr Breeze (#257)  Is your taskbar set to "autohide"?  If not it will cover up the bottom status bar of the forum.

Did you get the offer for a ride with Jenny03biker? How about the free pair of ass-less chaps that are the rage these days?

I'm using Mozilla Firefox, so apparently the browser doesn't matter.
