nope, but we havent had any snowfall in Detroit yet, doubt we get any soon either so its still possible to take the bikes out. My neighborhood doesn't plow or salt our streets either so keeping the bikes off the main roads and in the subdivision are usually good enough through the winter.

edit: I'm posting the link of this bike because it has features/parts that I would like to buy so I get to see it first.  This is a Goo bike/ super build maximum build from Japan, rather than the 6 spoke mags this bike has nice spokes and the Öhlins shocks that i would get if the air shocks end up not working out for some reason. This gives me the full idea in the right color, with the k0 body kit, even down to the double grab bars on the rear. Ive seen a replica racer with these pipes on it but it had a 19" front wheel and it makes the pipes look off...so this confirms the pipes look just right with the smaller front wheel.
the front end on this bike is a front end from the cb1100 wearing the Honda vintage kit....its pretty slick actually and im wondering if its bolt on with conversion bearings. Im posting the link for you to follow because I cant download the pictures and if i attempt to upload them here they would just be #$%* quality.http://moriyasubuildandengineeringpart2.blog.jp/archives/13824071.html

edit: open up carbs, all pilot jets are clogged, opened up spare set of carbs, pilot jets were better, going to give it all good cleaning and air compressor...after Monday Ill have a spare set of rebuilt carbs sitting around. I like that.

edit: new seat, washer, and needle, swapped out pilots too.

edit: Installed a 4-1 without the snorkels, had to toss on some other wheels because the exhaust can't be used with the center stand...the electric start didnt work but the bike kicked over in 2 kicks, runs and idles, sounds and feels strong. Merry Christmas to me.

idle 2k at start
gradually reduced it and bike dies around 1200-1500 rpm, oil is circulating, getting oil to the top at inspection caps.
cb550 front wheel right now and cb750f rear wheel to roll around easily so i can clean up in garage. This week is a little warmer to be pulling on the plastic covers and will get the airbox installed properly.

I dropped it today too holding it from the right side pushing it forward and it coming off the side, no damage, i let it down softly instead of trying to save it. choose 1080p

found super nice original brown k1 side covers with badges, nice patina.

These covers ran me 150 plus the ride...they should buff out nicely and i dont see any green on them so should match up with the tank well.

edit: oil tank side cover might be a repaint?

so far I've gotten:

two front calipers and brackets, replaced unicorn triple, (chopped) front and (stock)rear fender, rear taillight, turn signals and turn signal brackets, two rear solo grab bars, new dunlop tires,  (gold) tank, side covers, forks reflectors and headlight bucket, K1 repop 4into1 handle bars, pair of brown side covers with emblems., gas tank emblems (great condition), tank trim (stolen from brown tank), petcock rebuild, center stand hardware.

Finally some new rubber, didn’t polish the hubs rims or spokes but #$%* it.

repop k1 bars from 4into1 are ordered, those will get equipped with new repop switches that I already have.

I eventually move stuff up to the shop, had to sell a bike or get a bike out of the shop before i bring this one in. The 550 is sold off so I put the wheels on to move it easily. Gonna source some 4-4 pipes for this one. Phil still has the BUSSO set of 341 pipes he ordered, I would like to put some 300s on this one.

Your gold Late model K1 will look wonderful with 4 into 4 pipes.  8)

I've never seen a 4into2 Hooker header on a CB750 before;that exhaust/chrome will clean-up nice and run on another? 750 you have.
I hope you're able to sort out the rear axle spacer and nice rear brake caliper spacing.  :)
The rear hub on that bike is beautiful.

So, When putting a screw driver between the posts on the solenoid, if the bike doesn't try to fire does that mean the solenoid is fine?

I think the flasher relay is bad and needs to be replaced, only the front signals light up and they dont flash, they just stay on and the rear signals do nothing.

Ordering some new cheap brake lines from 4into1, should come out to just under 60 bucks, then Ill finish the brake calipers and front fender.

The center stand and hardware needs to be attached then the rear wheel addressed and tune up, new drive chain is needed...im hoping I can find a good used condition chain around the shop...also not sure if the rear sprocket is bad, the teeth seem a little pointy.

I had my gf jump on the bike with me and the air shocks seemed to hold up nicely, even bouncing up and down the bike didn't bottom out....fingers crossed to this being a good two up rider.

any suggestions on where to mount the horn, the steering damper and the oil cooler are in the way?

edit: I think I want to buy a repo seat for the bike instead of using the original. 50 yr old foam and Ill most likely be riding two up with this so might as well save the original and use up a new one.

I think the flasher relay is bad and needs to be replaced, only the front signals light up and they dont flash, they just stay on and the rear signals do nothing.

I just rewired my headlight shell with terminals so this is fresh, mine is a K2 which has a push button which can silence turn signal flasher. But the grey wire (the K2 button has a darker gray wire) comes from flasher and goes to the TS switch in the bar controls.

All baby blue wires get connected together, all orange wires get connected together

orange from bar control
orange to left front TS
Orange to left rear TS
orange to turn signal indicator wherever that is, mine is on a small dash that clamps bars

baby blue from bar control
baby blue to left front ts
baby blue right rear TS
baby blue to turn signal indicator

Ground or DC common side of all TS are grounded right at the signal with a nut which has a wire soldered to it.

So you should be able to test all that with a meter or a test light...bad flasher should leave both front and rear on all the time with no flash. The load on the circuit makes the flasher flash if it is an OEM. only one bulb lit = no flash.

71 diagram looks similar but no buzzer or momentary button to hold down to silence the buzzer

update: All of the major concerns have been addressed, the rear wheel alignment ended up being fine and the caliper fits in the rear. I haven't installed new brake lines yet because im still waiting on caliper rebuilt kits to show up.

remaining: tune up, carb sync, brake lines and bleed, rebuild calipers ,new battery, turn signal bulb and flasher relay, new chain or clean and run this one, fix seat latch or replace it, exhaust clamps, baffles for exhaust or new/used 4-4 system, back rest for a passenger, some type of fairing, maybe new shocks if these air shocks don't pan out.

My fingers are crossed hoping no major components need replacing, my black black is getting 836 kit so being able to ride this while the bike is down would be a blessing.

Things I had to acquire:
handle bars, throttle cables,MC, levers, grips, brake lines, one more caliper for dual side, rear and front fenders, caliper brackets and hardware, new tires, control switches, gold body kit sourced ( I had the tank and one side cover already, sourced the rest), two rear grab bars, taillight, new unicorn triple mount, petcock rebuild and more prolly forgetting.

yeah it was all correct I had things misaligned. Thank you, I think its a good looking patina bike.

It looks like I installed my front tire on backwards which sucks because I meant to install the 130 rear on this bike but installed the 120....looks like I basically have an entire tire job worth of work to do to correct everything..

You had a peep down the plug hole with a borescope?  You can generally see if pistons have been changed for ones with more compression and/or different valve reliefs or other markings.  I think CruizinImage is the only ones who ever offered a stock looking flat top 836 piston, and of course, they were not available back in the day.

My buddy has one, I’ll borrow it. I did check the valves and they all looked stock, at the same time if I have an unmolested k1 motor on my hands I’ll be equally as happy. Maybe they just did an Allen bolt engine kit swap and called it done….the gaskets are black, we’re own gaskets black?
