I did not crash it.

Country road, two lanes, slow car in front of me, nothing in the left lane.  The dividing line allowed me to pass.  I kicked it in 4th and started to pass.  When I was next to the slow car, Amazon Prime van pulls in the left lane.  There was space and time but I had to brake hard.  The slow car slowed down more and I got in front of it and kept going.

Certainly hope so.  Main difference is the missing bump so I can sit further back.

Being 6' 3" and long legs bumps in seats suck for me !! Looks like a nice upgrade.

I am oversized too.  The original seat was 25 - 35 minutes tops.  When I changed handlebars it made a world of a difference but I hope this seat will set me jn a good position.

 I rode the dual single overhead cam 4. The old 78 GL1000 saw the redline a few times, I rode it like it was stolen.  I thought a good hard ride would clean the carbon out a bit before a long winter nap. It's tee shirt weather today nov. 2 I need to get a 750 or two out also.

Around noon I took the battery out of my Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. Then I covered it, and put another cover over the pair of 250 Nighthawks I've had parked along side the Interceptor. A few hours after that our first snow of the year began to fall. We'll have less than an inch by morning, but I'm happy to have that battery out and covers on.

While I had the carbs off the XS650 I took the opportunity to replace the half-stripped bowl screws with some stainless hex head screws. 
Exciting, I know, but it makes it a lot easier to drop the bowls without pulling the carbs should I need to do that in the future.

That reminds me that I bought a bag of 100 stainless 4mm socket head cap screws a few years ago, I bought the cheapest I could find on eBay at the time, I think they were like 12mm long & I figured I could always cut them down if needed. I wonder when I'll find them?

I pulled alternator from my CJ7.  It was showing 12.4 Volts @ idle.  AutoZone tested it and it failed.  The kicker is that I installed it in May - it lasted only 7 month.

They need to stop calling those AutoZone,etc. and other partseller's alternators "remanufactured"/remans." and call them FUBAR: F*cked Up Beyond All Recognition. At least then you'd know ahead of time.. 
I like some of those local starter/alternator rebuilding shops that do quality work and will install quality components to your spec;there seem to be less and less of them,but we Need More and More of them 

I bought a Volvo starter from the dealer:remanufactured by Volvo back in 2001' and it's been installed for 335,000 miles and still starting just like new.I paid $280 back then but it was Well Worth it.

got a suzuki gsx...its a 750 frame and a 1100 engine..absolut no vay to registre it in denmark..all bikes have to be komplet stock..to be road worty..so think to give it avay for free..and not vaste any money ..free bikes is the most expensive ones..ve have all learned

have cleaned the carbs..and it roars easy to live..and runs nicely..air and oil cooled engine..and hyd clutch

Prokop,they usually call them 'auto electric' shops,at least that was the correct designation/title for decades in the past    I went to one in Columbia,TN. when I lived there and they showed me the different choices of components they have to install.I chose the best(Bosch)reg/rect. & brushes which mounts to the back of the alternator;I also chose the best quality bearings because the cheapo/China bearings wear-out quick.
I think it's worth the $180(back in 08')to get it done by someone who cares.

I just wanted to mention about alternators,field coils,etc. for motorcycles.
I found a place in Birmingham,AL. that rewinds them to your spec. Does great quality work too.
They're called Custom Rewind.

ve got a lot of cars komming in denmark..but export to usa.?.get it to ramstein germany, air base..and on a air fraighter seems the only vay..but im not a military
