have cleaned the carbs..and it roars easy to live..and runs nicely..air and oil cooled engine..and hyd clutch

ve got a lot of cars komming in denmark..but export to usa.?.get it to ramstein germany, air base..and on a air fraighter seems the only vay..but im not a military ??? ::)

I understand you strynboen  ::)  I would then look for a way to register the bike here.

I just wanted to mention about alternators, field coils, etc. for motorcycles.
I found a place in Birmingham,AL. that rewinds them to your spec. Does great quality work too.
They're called Custom Rewind.

Oh, memories  :D

My high school was electro engineering and in shop class we did our share of rewinding.  Motors, transformers and such.

I heli-coiled a stripped tappet cover stud on my XS650. Apparently stripping this stud in particular is pretty common because it's so shallow.
I used an M6 to M7 step-stud. Went pretty smooth.
I also took the batteries out of the bikes since it's going to freeze later this week.

Replaced the clutch cover M6 bolts on my wife's Honda VTR250 with stainless cap heads. When I checked the parts diagram I saw that 6 of the 12 bolts were 32mm length, 4 were 35mm and 2 were 40mm... okay, nice one Mr Honda! I ordered some extra 35mm cap head screws, cut a piece of stainless tube down to 32mm, and used this as a guide on the grinding wheel.

Today we installed a new Delkevik black ceramic coated exhaust system on the 82' CB 900F. It looks great and fit great too. The bike came with the black chrome exhaust system so we think it is a great replacement. 8)

Another really great bike, the 900 as well as the 1100f were just great examples of the next generation of air cooled inline 4's from Honda. They look and scoot just wonderfully and comfortably, once the vf's showed up it was just a matter of time before these great engines fell to the wayside. Back then dumping the stock exhaust for a aftermarket one was just what you did. Lighter, louder, faster was the mantra, having the stock pipes today is a rare thing, especially if they're in good shape.

We pulled the stock exhaust off, let's say that it gave it's all. The stock exhaust on our 83' CB 1100F is also in bad shape so it will get the same exhaust system when we resurrect it.

Well technically it is an SOHC but I have to make an exhaust system for the 78' Kawasaki KL 250. I'm going use about the first 2" of the stock exhaust pipe. Then for the piping I'm using the headpipes from the remains of the 82' CB 900F exhaust system and the old right side muffler from the 84' VF 700S Sabre.

Here's a first trial fitting, should be at least 100 more fittings before I'm done.

Kelly, that's looking very good with the black chrome;I can't even see where you joined the KL250 top flange to that CB900F head pipe.

That's because I haven't done it yet. Like I said, first trial fit. It won't work without the original pipe stub. It did confirm that the #4 head pipe will be the new head pipe. Tomorrow I'll cut the stub off the original pipe and then try to figure out where to cut the new head pipe so the rock guard will fit back on. Everywhere I cut the double wall pipe I'll tack weld the two layers together before adding the next piece.
