Nice floor in the shop!!

Thanks! When we bought the house, the PO had painted a portion of the floor and the paint was failing. Epoxy flooring is expensive so I bought these [discontinued] tiles at Home Depot for $1/sq ft and layed them myself, approx 450 sq ft for the 3 car garage. Oil spills/leaks wipe right up.

Steve….. what material are the tiles? Look great!

Well….I did it the other day but still like new. I put a set of pro taper bars on the ZRX. Hoping it cuts out the vibrations.

You could also fill handlebars with lead or other metal.

I spent a few hours replacing the crank seal on my Norton Commando.  Tomorrow I'll put it all back together. 

Here are some photos of the disassembly sequence.  The last one shows the new seal installed.  My bike has the Colorado Norton Works electric starter kit.  This is why the innards of the primary chain case look different from a regular Commando.

Yesterday I made a DIY fork seal cleaner from a plastic milk jug and got my left fork seal to stop seeping.

Today I set tire pressure, cleaned & lubed the chain, added a few ounces of Berryman's B12 to the fuel, took it for a shakedown run to make sure that left fork seal was still dry, then took it in to a local shop for an inspection sticker.

Then I gave them good reviews on Yelp & Google, gotta help local businesses.

That inch of foam I added to the seat makes a world of difference.

I'm building a spare parts bike out of Honda 250 Rebel & Nighthawk left overs.  Kids move out but they leave their stuff.  I got tired of tripping over and moving this stuff around the garage.  I almost have it to "ran when parked" status for FB Marketplace!

Laced up two rims for a fellow club member who’s restoring an early 70’s Can-Am 250. Lovely Buchanan Spokes, new alloy rims, and freshly polished hubs. He took them away so quickly, forgot to take a picture!

Since I bought a truing stand and a really good set of spoons, I’ve probably built +30 wheels and mounted/ balanced even more tires. It surprises me how reluctant people are to try it themselves. It’s actually pretty simple and surprisingly satisfying!

Rode the little Kawasaki H1 500.  Love this little bike, kicked right up, smokes a bit and just screams when ya twist the throttle!





And then changed the oil, what is the best oil to use??!!! 



I burn marine oil in this bike, no #$%*e!!  And Valvoline 80w-90 gear oil in the trans...

Paul and I took a ride to get lunch. I got a nice ride in on the 77' KZ 1000LTD and then Paul rode it home for his first ride on it.

I rode back from Laconia Bike Week, I was there from Tuesday to Thursday. Rode 280 miles in total and the bike was flawless. The left fork seal is still dry. The seat that I added an inch of foam to was the cure for my right hip pain caused by the stock seat, but it's comfort leaves a lot to be desired after the first hour, stay tuned for Rev 2 of that project coming up.

Got it running for the first time in +5 years. The VERY original “Trusty Triumph” (1917 Model H, 550cc single) fired 4th kick! From my friend’s collection of WW1 vehicles, SOLD.

Change the gearbox oil, make some new leather washers for the hand operated oil pump, and true the rear wheel up. Then it’s off to a collector in Michigan.

I unload the non running 01 VS1400 at my buddy's and stuck it in the basement. It's non humid and climate controls. Better than my shop. Lmao.

It's coming along just fine. Luckily I have a lot of sit down work to do at the moment.

I dropped the Sportster today. Buggered up the 2 into 1 dump collector but didn't hurt anything else.

Forgot to check if it was in gear and hit the started switch. (Barebones rewire so no neutral safety)

 I hope I never do that.  My Norton's starter conversion does not have a neutral safety switch.

It's easy to do. I usually roll a bit first to check. Usually I ride it out. This time I just rolled off the seat and let it fall. Idk why. Didn't hurt anything too bad.
