this was siliconed on, you think this will be a problem?

There should be an O ring on the stud before the washer to stop any oil
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

I could be wrong but it looks like a bottom section of that casting where the bolt goes in has been broken-off,then glued on?

The area could be TIG welded and refaced but I think their silicone solution will work if it keeps it from leaking while allowing it to seal. Crude but effective. Would need the head off ideally to do that repair out of the motor…

If that washer does the sealing on a 500, it will leak there. I would clean it well then use epoxy like JBweld then file/sand it smooth.

The washer dont seal, the O ring does and will probably deform into the erroded areas ans seal fine

we decided to just rebuild the original head and use parts out of this damaged one.
